NRC Announces Sixth Hospital Signing in Six Months

A continuation of aggressive growth goals for 2018 and beyond

 

Bruno, MN. Nemadji Research Corporation (NRC) announced today that it has signed a contract with Temple University Health System (TUHS), one of Philadelphia Pennsylvania’s leading academic medical centers, to provide backend revenue recovery services. This is the sixth hospital contract NRC has signed in the last six months continuing an aggressive growth surge for the company and extending its national reach. As a result of this growth, NRC is adding several new jobs at its headquarters in Bruno, MN thereby boosting its current $4 million annual economic impact to the region.

 

“As you might expect, we are thrilled to be experiencing steady growth, said John Blackshaw, CEO of NRC. “Not only does it extend our current mission of helping hospitals generate additional income from third party payers to provide more and better care. But it also allows us to further contribute to the local economies by adding more jobs and utilizing more services.”

 

Other contract signings include Hamilton Health Care System and Northside Hospital in Georgia, Ogden Arnot Medical Center and Erie County Medical Center in New York, as well as, Recovering Hope Treatment Center in Mora, MN.

Pine City Resident Receives High Honor from Nemadji Research Corporation

Overtoom is awarded 2017 STAR Award

 

Nemadji Research Corporation (NRC), a healthcare revenue recovery company located in Bruno, MN recently announced that Pine City resident Matt Overtoom was the 2017 recipient of its annual Special Thanks and Recognition (STAR) Award.

“I’m thrilled to be receiving this award, said Overtoom, a Senior Software Developer, “it is really meaningful to be recognized by the people you work with”.

The employee nominated STAR award is an annual recognition of individual behavior by an employee that epitomizes the embodiment of company values and NRC founder, Gene Lourey’s clarion call, “to turn our talents and efforts into as much good as we can individually and collectively.”

Matt Overtoom received multiple nominations and was selected by NRC’s executives based upon his work ethic as well as his dedication to community activities including the Boys Scouts and 4H. Overtoom has been employed with NRC for over ten years.

Nemadji Research Corporation Announces Expanded Commitment to Community Service

 

 

Nemadji Research Corporation (NRC) a healthcare revenue recovery company in Bruno, MN announced today that they are increasing their commitment to local communities by increasing the number of employee hours dedicated to service work in surrounding areas.

“It is a fundamental value of NRC to be a responsible business that gives back to the communities where we work and live,” says John Blackshaw, CEO of NRC. “As part of our overall commitment, we provide paid time for our employees to go out into our communities to complete service projects.”

Over the past two years, NRC employees have cleaned highways, pulled weeds, rebuilt flower beds, raked, mowed, and painted recreational buildings and picnic tables in Bruno, Kettle River, Sandstone, Askov and Duquette. In July and October 2017, NRC joined with United Way of Carlton and Pine Counties to package toiletry items and serve meals to people in need at Operation Community Connect.

For 2018, NRC has committed a total of 392 hours to Service Days, up from 264 hours worked in 2017. NRC encourages community groups and service organizations to submit requests for consideration by our Service Day committee. Requests should be submitted via email to serviceday@nemadjiresearch.com.

Production Analyst II

Nemadji Research Corporation is seeking a Production Analyst II for full time employment Monday - Friday.  This position participates in all the main function of the production process including match, selection, account verification, eligibility inquiries, and may assist with obtaining proof of coverage and/or various duties supporting medical billing. 

Job Responsibilities:

Data Matching

  • Matches service data to create patient profile.  
  • Matches remittance advice data to service data.

Identity Verification

  • Reviews and selects appropriate eligibility for claims submission.

Account Verification

  • Verifies account statuses to determine appropriateness for pre-billing/billing.
  • Navigates hospital and eligibility systems remotely to investigate account status.

Eligibility Discovery

  • Requests and obtains documentation of patient’s coverage via phone calls, web inquiries, and written requests.
  • Performs data entry for selected project functions.
  • Communicates effectively with external entities such as payers, Social Security, etc.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma and 2 + years experience in a related field.
  • Understanding of medical billing rules and practices, including coordination of benefits.
  • Knowledge of and ability to work with hospital registration, billing and/or accounting systems.
  • Good problem-solving, time management and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in the use of Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high volume environment with an emphasis on accuracy and timeliness.
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to interact with co-workers and clients in a professional manner.
  • Professional certification, such as CRCS-I or CPAR or equivalent.
  • General computer proficiency and experience with Windows operating systems.
