Insurance Verification Specialist II

Nemadji Research Corporation is seeking an Insurance Verification Specialist II for full time employment Monday - Friday. This position participates in all the main function of the production process including match, selection, account verification, eligibility inquiries, and may assist with obtaining proof of coverage and/or various duties supporting medical billing.

Job Responsibilities:

Identity Verification

  • Reviews and selects appropriate eligibility for claims submission.

Account Verification

  • Verifies account statuses to determine appropriateness for pre-billing/billing.
  • Navigates hospital and eligibility systems remotely to investigate account status.

Eligibility Discovery

  • Requests and obtains documentation of patient’s coverage via phone calls, web inquiries, and written requests.
  • Performs data entry for selected project functions.
  • Communicates effectively with external entities such as payers, Social Security, etc.

Remittance Advice Match (RA Match)

  • Matches claim adjudication records to service records.
  • Utilizes information contained in the record as well as information from the hospital system to determine if the remittance record should be linked to the service record.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma and 2 + years’ experience in a related field.
  • Experience with billing claims in a medical setting.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of and ability to work with hospital registration, billing and/or accounting systems.
  • Good problem-solving, time management and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in the use of Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high volume environment with an emphasis on accuracy and timeliness.
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to interact with co-workers and clients in a professional manner.

Janitor – Part Time

Nemadji Research Corporation is seeking a Janitor for part time employment Monday - Friday, 5pm - 9pm.The Janitor keeps the building in clean and orderly condition in coordination with a team member. The starting wage is $15 per hour. Applications and resumes will bea ccepted until 7/24/18.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Vacuums, sweeps, mops and scrubs floors of building including dining room, stairwells and gymnasium
  •  Mops and vacuums floors in daycare center
  • Cleans walls, ceilings, interior windows, window sills and building fixtures
  • Dusts funriture, bookshelves, decorative items, office equipment and cabinets
  • Gathers trash from receptacles at employee desks and all common areas
  • Gathers and sorts recyclables
  • Cleans and restocks restrooms
  • Cleans the downstairs parenting room
  • Cleans upstairs and downstairs kitchenette countertops,c abinets, sinks and tables
  • Cleans employee refrigerators/freezers per food removal policy
  • Waters indoor and outdoor plants
  • Takes inventory of supplies and equipment used in cleaning duties and provides order list to the Receptionist
  • Maintains orderly supply room

Qualifications

  • Must successfully complete annual HIPAA/HITECH traininga nd testing
  • Must complete annual information security and policy training
  • Knowledge of the proper use and safety precautions of general cleaning solutions and equipment
  • Must be organized and neat
  • Must be honest, trustworthy and dependable
  • Ability to work with a team member

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1 year janitorial experience
  • Knowledge of cleaning commercial including bathrooms and office spaces

Training Coordinator

Nemadji Research Corporation is seeking a Production Supervisor for full time employment Monday - Friday.  The Training Coordinator is responsible for educating new and existing staff on NRC’s processes, tasks, and functions. The Training Coordinator will train NRC staff on multiple NRC processes, ensuring that individuals have the knowledge and skills to perform their work to NRC standards.

Job Responsibilities:

Training

  • Trains new and existing staff on Human Match. Works with individuals to build the knowledge and skills to accurately match records.
  • Trains new and existing staff on Selection for all projects. Works with individuals to build the knowledge and skills to accurately select eligibility records.
  • Trains new and existing staff on manual eligibility verification, both over the phone and through web inquiries. Works with individuals to build the knowledge and skills to accurately confirm and update eligibility records.
  • Trains new and existing staff on Account Verification for all projects, including both Fast Pass Verify and Advanced Verify. Works with individuals to build the knowledge and skills to accurately review and analyze patient accounts and update the record appropriately.
  • Trains NRC staff on NRC system and process changes
  • Coaches and mentors new Account Services employees as they integrate into NRC’s workforce
  • Coaches Account Services staff to increase skill level

Record Review

  • Reviews all records worked by individuals currently in training and provides feedback
  • Maintains records of all employee record reviews

Program Development

  • Develops training program for new Account Services staff
  • Creates training materials including non-client specific manuals
  • Identifies and implements efficiencies in NRC production processes
  • Maintains documentation on SharePoint and updates documentation as needed

Employee Development

  • Identifies training needs through individual assessment
  • Prepares training plan for each new employee and current employees referred for training
  • Evaluates performance and recommends next steps
  • Works with supervisors to identify ongoing training needs for staff
  • Provides ongoing training support to staff
  • Prepares and provides refresher training based on identified departmental needs

Qualifications:

  • AA/AS +5 years experience in related field
  • 1 year experience in a leadership or management role.
  • Knowledge of (or ability to learn and understand) NRC’s proprietary software and processes.
  • Extensive knowledge of hospital accounting and eligibility systems.
  • Solid understanding of medical billing rules, including coordination of benefits.
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook.
  • Excellent people skills, problem solving skills, and communication skills.
  • Strong desire to develop employee skills and knowledge

Job Overview:

Job Responsibilities:

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS in business or related field
  • 5 years of business to business sales experience preferably in healthcare, revenue cycle management products or SaaS 
  • Proven sales skills, consistently meeting or exceeding goals
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization, including executive and C-Level
  • Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close
  • Good time management and organization skills
  • Proven ability to articulate the distinct aspects of products and services and position them against competitors
  • Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills

Nemadji Research Corporation is seeking a Software Developer for full time employment. This position will report to headquarters in Bruno, MN Monday-Friday. The Software Developer is responsible for a variety of information technology activities. This includes programming, customer support, analysis, testing and system documentation.

 

Job Responsibilities: 

Programming

  • Codes, tests and troubleshoots programs
  • Creates or enhances programs related to ETL (extract, transform and load)
  • Designs and and develops new programs and systems
  • Evaluates simple interrelationships between programs
  • Analyzes performance of programs and takes action to correct deficiencies based on consultation with users and approval of supervisor
  • Confers with users to gain understanding of needed changes or modifications of existing programs
  • Resolves questions of program intent, data input, output requirements and inclusion of internal checks and controls
  • Maintains confidentiality with regard to the information being processed, stored or accessed
  • Utilizes SDLC (NRC's Change Process) to facilitate the documenting, revieweing and approval of code change prior to implementation.

Customer Support

  • Communicates with internal customers to facilitate programming chages, testing plans, documentation and to support internally developed applications
  • Prepares initial documentation for developed applications
  • Works with external clients on EDI and reporting tasks

Analysis

  • Analyzes existing programs and systems before changes are made
  • Evaluates change requests to determine if existing code can be used for implementation
  • Suggests performance or efficiency improvements
  • Monitors performance and results after major program changes

Testing/Debugging

  • Tests programming changes prior to deployment to the production environment
  • Fixes bugs in existing programs or bugs discovered while testing

System Documentation

  • Updates internal IT system documentation and documentation inside the source code based on program modifications

Other

  • Provides periodic reports and performs other various tasks as requested by IT Management

Qualifications

  • BS degree in IT related field and 3+ years programming experience or AS degree with 6+ years experience
  • Knowledge of computer programming fundamental concepts
  • Knowledge of database systems like Oracle, SQL Server, etc.
  • Proficient in SQL and business productivity software like Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Good problem-solving and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical people
  • Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high-volume environment with an emphasis on accuracy and timeliness
