Director of Sales

Job Overview:

As the Director of Sales you will develop and lead a team of sales professionals, oversee the company’s sales strategy, and work in coordination with the Director of Product Development to recommend product or service enhancements and develop strategies to bring new products or services to market.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manages, develops, coaches, and motivates the sales staff and ensures monthly sales targets and KPI targets are met.
  • Designs and executes revenue growth plans through aggressive sales and marketing activities.
  • Works in coordination with the SVP of Business Development to develop sales and marketing strategies.
  • Designs and implements an organized systematic strategy for lead generation.
  • Establishes sales goals by forecasting and developing sales quotas for regions and territories and projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products.
  • Develops field sales action plans by analyzing trends and results.
  • Provides on-the-ground support for sales representatives as they generate leads and close new deals.
  • Develops and presents sales forecast, revenue, and expense reports to executive team and other management.
  • Identifies emerging markets and market shifts watches the status of competitor’s new products.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.

Preferred Qualifications:

Qualified candidates must be ambitious and possess proven sales and management skills. In addition, candidates must have a BA/BS in a related field and at least 10 years’ experience in a sales management position. Our ideal candidate will have sales management experience in a healthcare related field, or direct B2B sales management experience in competitive markets. A successful candidate will understand what motivates C-Suite level decision makers to purchase services and be able to tap into those needs in an effective way.
