Computer Support Specialist 

Nemadji Research Corporation is seeking a Computer Support Specialist for full time employment Monday - Friday.  The Computer Support Specialist serves as the primary technical support contact for end users. This includes setting up and maintaining PCs and related equipment, troubleshooting problems, and documenting procedures.

Job Responsibilities:

PC Support

  • Sets up, configures, and supports PCs, laptops, tablets, etc.
  • Installs new software/hardware as needed
  • Applies OS, third party, anti-virus, and other necessary updates/patches

Email Support

  • Provides basic email support for users
  • Maintains the shared address book
  • Maintains company SPAM lists (i.e. allow/disallow)

Peripheral Support

  • Sets up, configures, and supports printers, copiers, fax machines, time clocks, projectors, etc.

Data Backup/Restore Support

  • Utilizes the backup system as needed to support the backup and restore process


  • Acts as primary technical support contact for end-users
  • Troubleshoots and resolves problems

System Documentation

  • Maintains documentation for IT group as well as training documentation used by user community
  • Maintains inventory of equipment


  • A 2-year degree in a computer related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Proficient in business productivity software like Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Knowledge of PC’s, servers, & their operating systems

  • Good problem-solving and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high-volume environment with an emphasis on accuracy and timeliness
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
  • Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical people
  • Ability to interact with others in a professional manner
